"For where your treasure is there your heart will be also."Luke 12: 34
Hello! My name is Alex Blewitt - the students at St. John's know me as Mrs. Alex! I feel very blessed to be part of the staff of St.John’s Lutheran School! As the Preschool Director and 3's & 4's teacher, I look forward to guiding your children in the early years of their educational and Christian development. Preschool is a time to promote positive learning and to spark an enthusiasm for education in your child’s heart. Learning through play and exploration allows your child to develop the fundamental skills to problem solve and become independent thinkers. Preschool is the time to learn how to be a learner!
I was born and raised in Dublin, Ohio with my older brother Josh and wonderful parents, Steve and Phyllis. During the summer we spent most of our time on the family farm in Mechanicsburg, Ohio and during the fall you could find us cheering on our beloved Ohio State Buckeyes (O...H!)! I graduated from Dublin Scioto High School in 2005 and headed down south to attend the University of Kentucky. I graduated from UK (Go Cats!) in 2010 with a degree in Early Childhood Education.
I spent my first year teaching in Dublin City Schools in a Kindergarten classroom as their year-long substitute. I was extremely blessed to find St. John’s and have spent the past five years teaching 3 and 4 year Old Preschool. I am honored and excited to continue in the role of Preschool Director. St John’s is a rewarding and energizing environment thanks to the staff, students, and the continuous support from the parents and community.
I am happily married to my wonderful husband, Zach. We are blessed with our funny, energetic and beautiful one year old daughter, Remington (Remi). I have two stepchildren, Ella (10 years old) and Ky(7 years old), who keep us very busy! We have a crazy cat named Gauge and a spoiled teacup Yorkie named Tater Tot - life is good!
Always remember that you are special and that Jesus loves you!
