St. John’s Lutheran Church and School of Marysville welcomes you to the 2013 All Ohio Lutheran Basketball Tournament. I extend a special thanks to the many volunteers who have worked for months to prepare for our time together. It is our sincere prayer that you enjoy this weekend of Christian fellowship and Christ-centered competition.

It is a great privilege to host this time honored tradition as it is just one part of the greater ministry that is Lutheran education.  Mark 8:36 poses the question, “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?”  Schools that provide an outstanding education with programs and events like these are essential for preparing students for the race marked out for them.  However,what does it profit a boy or girl if they are academically outstanding or athletically superior if they lack faith?
